The "Queen James Bible" -- a Direct Attack on the King James Version

In 2012 perhaps the most blasphemous mockery of the Scriptures was released for public sale; a version entitled the 'Queen James Bible'. This version is being advertised as "A Gay Bible" that "seeks to resolve interpretive ambiguity in the Bible as it pertains to homosexuality". The editors of this version have edited all verses of Scripture that repremand the sin of homosexuality or Sodomy to appear "gay friendly".

This version directly attacks the King James Bible by holding to false information regarding the sexual orientation of King James I of England, claiming that he was bisexual. There is absolutely zero historical proof or evidence supporting this false claim.

Also in this version, the editors freely edited verses according to personal preference without any textual support from any manuscript. The editors claim that all of the wording in the "Queen James Bible" matches that of the 1769 Authorized King James Version, aside from chosen verses that deal with homosexuality (Gen 19:5; Lev. 20:13; Lev. 18:22; Rom. 1:26, 27; 1 Cor. 6:9, 10; 1 Tim 1:10; Jude 1:7) .

Surprisingly enough, the NIV and the NKJV are much more "gay-friendly" than even the 'Queen James Bible'  by using terms that are "gender-inclusive". (See seperate articles on the New International Version, and the New King James Version. )

Obviously the editors of this version condone the sin of homosexuality and do not view it as a sin. You can read their entire statement on their website: www.queenjamesbible.com .
